Lamorbey School's new 'QB' library and reading garden

In June 2017, the children of Holy Trinity Lamorbey C of E Primary School, Sidcup, proudly welcomed a wonderful double decker bus to the playground; which over the course of several months' hard work by the PTA was lovingly renovated into a library and reading garden. As a former pupil of the School, which he attended 80 years ago, Sir Quentin Blake was asked by the children and staff to contribute some of his artwork to help decorate this new reading space.
Quentin was delighted to help. He produced an entirely new set of drawings for the side of the Bus ready for its official opening last November.
The library bus and garden will be open for the children every day for class reading sessions and throughout lunch times.
