Illustrators collaborate onstage in hilarious event for the South Ken Kids Festival 2015
The hugely popular children's festival organised by the French Institute in London (16-22 November 2015) this year again welcomed Quentin Blake and his chosen guest to the stage for a live drawing duel on stage.  A patron of the Festival since its inception 18 years ago, Quentin is a regular and popular contributor to the week of creative and cultural events which celebrate children's literature in both French and English.  This year, his chosen duelling partner was French graphic novel artist and friend, Bruno Heitz, known, among others, for his illustrations in quirky historical books.
The duo collaborated on several drawings around the theme of transportation - creating an incredible bicycle on the page, as well as an imaginative take on a trike-cum-car - in an entertaining hour-long display of creativity.
