This exhibition features fine art giclee prints of Quentin Blake's drawings of Matilda, both in her well-known child persona but also his imaginings of what she could be like now she is thirty years older. Quentin produced eight new drawings to celebrate Matilda's 30th anniversary in 2018, each showing her following a different career path based on her childhood talents.
Three of the drawings were selected for use on special 30th anniversary editions of the book, but this is the first time that all eight designs can be seen together.
Opening times and location: the exhibition is in the Museum's 'Lower Babbling Room', open on weekdays after 2.30pm, and at weekends. Occasionally the room may be in use for storytelling (why not join in!?) or for workshop sessions.
Cost: free with Museum entry.
