Barnes Children's Literature Festival 2024 poster launch!
Tuesday 5th March 2024
The team of dedicated volunteers behind the popular Children's Literature Festival held annually in Barnes, southwest London, have unveiled the poster for this year's event.
The Festival will be held on 22 -23 June 2024, and this year will celebrate its tenth anniversary. In keeping with such a milestone, this year's poster design has been created by Quentin Blake, featuring characters from his array of picture books, in his instantly-recognisable style. Quentin himself isn't planning to be at the Festival, but commented: "The people in my drawings are always delighted to have another outing. This time they are in the Barnes Children’s Literature Festival poster and you can see that they couldn’t be more excited about it. Happy 10th anniversary!"
Events at the Festival take place in several locations around Barnes Green, including in a specially-erected marquee named after much-loved author of 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea', Judith Kerr. The team are busy preparing an exciting programme: visit the Festival website and sign up to find out the latest updates and be first in the queue to book: https://www.barneskidslitfest.org/whats-on/
