Christmas Goodies!
Tuesday 3rd December 2013
Choose Quentin Blake cards and gifts to help support the work of some great charities
The pictured selection of Christmas goodies are just some of the items available from some of Quentin's favourite good causes:
Buy cards, tote bags, mugs and giftwrap featuring Quentin's unique designs for Survival International (www.survivalinternational.org), a charity which helps threatened peoples throughout the globe;
The Big Draw (www.bigdrawshop.co.uk) is a registered charity which aims to 'save the fate of drawing' and encourage everyone to get drawing! Wear your Big Draw t-shirt with pride, or purchase an exclusive Quentin Blake limited-edition print of the 'Big Draw Big Make' campaign logo;
December 2013 sees a trip down memory lane for 'The Spectator' magazine, which has produced a set of 6 Christmas cards based on the magazine's cover designs by Quentin Blake. Proceeds from the sale of these cards are being donated to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity (www.roalddahlcharity.org) which makes life better for seriously ill children;
At www.nightingaleproject.org are prints of some of Quentin's work for hospitals - 'Our Friends in the Circus' (from Northwick Park) and designs for the Kershaw Ward at the Kensington & Chelsea Mental Health Centre. The Nightingale Project works with a number of well known artists and aims to improve the hospital environment through art.
And don't forget to look out for Woodmansterne's boxes of Quentin Blake charity cards (in John Lewis stores and good independent card shops) which this year support Crisis UK, ChildLine and Shelter.
Merry Christmas!
