Enjoy 'On Angel Wings' live at the Royal Albert Hall
Thursday 5th November 2026
This Christmas, discover a re-telling of the nativity in this heartwarming, carol-filled adventure based on Michael Morpurgo's beloved book, On Angel Wings, illustrated by Quentin Blake.
On Christmas night, a shepherd family receives an extraordinary visit from the Angel Gabriel. When their youngest daughter, Hannah, is drawn into an unexpected adventure, she embarks on a journey of wonder and hope. Guided by the Angel Gabriel, Hannah discovers the true spirit of Christmas.
Relive this magical story and sing along to some of your family’s favourite carols from Ding Dong Merrily On High, to Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the National Youth Choir and a cast of actors.
Adapted by Jenifer Toksvig and directed by Emma Manton.
The show is performed twice on Sunday 13 December, at 1.15pm and 5.30pm. Farms for City Children, the charity founded by Michael Morpurgo and Clare Morpurgo, will be
holding charitable collections at the Royal Albert Hall in connection with these performances.
