Enter the Quentin Blake: Drawn to Water art competition with WWT
Monday 4th September 2023
As part of the Drawn to Water partnership between WWT and Quentin Blake an art competition is running this autumn, giving you a chance to win a limited-edition framed print of ‘Heron’ by Quentin Blake. Quentin has been inspired by wetlands and the wildlife that live in them and entrants are being encouraged to capture the wonder of wetlands at one of WWT's ten wetlands sites across the UK.
Taking part is easy. Create and submit an artwork that captures the wonder of wetlands at one of WWT's sites. Judges are looking for something that shows what wetlands mean to you - maybe it's time spent with family and friends, wildlife that has a special meaning or the peace and tranquillity of wetland landscapes?
Your artwork can be in any format you like as long as it's 2D (flat) - for example, it could be a drawing, painting, collage or photograph.
Upload an image of your artwork using WWT's website form. You can also post it to: Drawn to Water competition, WWT, Newgrounds Lane, Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, GL2 7BT. Please note that we can't return anything submitted by post. Make sure you include the name of the WWT site that your entry represents, and a short explanation of what wetlands mean to you (100 words or less).
The competition opens on 4th September 2023 and closes on 31st December at 12 noon. The winning entry will be announced on 31st January 2024.
The first-prize winner will receive a framed limited-edition print of ‘Heron’ by Quentin Blake, and a day ticket for up to four people to visit a WWT centre of their choice.
Three runners-up will each receive a set of 6 books from The QB Papers series, plus a day ticket for up to four people to visit a WWT centre of their choice.
