Giant 'BFG' banners and drawing stations welcome visitors at St Pancras International

Tuesday 12th July 2016

Inspired by the House of Illustration's new exhibition, The BFG in Pictures, which features never-before-seen Quentin Blake illustrations for Roald Dahl's 'The BFG', vistors to St Pancras International station are encouraged to use their imaginations and get drawing throughout the summer.

Giant-size banners featuring some of Quentin Blake's well-known (and less well known) drawings of Roald Dahl's 'The BFG' tower over passengers, visitors and shoppers, drawing them in to start their creative journey.  Quentin himself visited the staion on 12 July to create a short film showing him drawing the much-loved character.

The House of Illustration's planned summer workshops for budding young artists and a very special Q&A with Chris Riddell and Posy Simmonds are already fully booked, but from 12 July free sketch pads and pencils are available at all your favourite food and drink spots - leaving no excuse not to put pencil to paper!  Post or tweet your drawings to the House of Illustration - @illustrationhq and /HouseofIllustration/
