Marvellous new Croc drawing for Roald Dahl Nurses appeal

Wednesday 27th May 2020

In his role as President of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, Quentin has created a Marvellous new drawing for their Roald Dahl Nurses Appeal.  It features Marvin, an enormous red crocodile, the charity's marvellous mascot, whom Quentin has drawn on many other occasions.
At this terrible time, people need something to lift the spirits, he told The Telegraph: “That’s what I’m in the business of.”
The charity plans to auction the original drawing to raise money for the Appeal, which is supported by celebrities Claudia Winkelman and Julie Walters.  The Appeal has also gone large over Piccadilly Circus in London, taking over the giant screens there for the week following International Nurses Day on 12 May.  The network of 78 Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses help support 21,000 seriously ill children acroos the UK, whose long-term complex conditions make them even more vulnerable during the current COVID-19 crisis.  The Appeal aims to raise much-needed funds to contiune their valuable work and allow more children to have access to a Roald Dahl Nurse.
Though Quentin's original drawing is now in full colour, he provided a copy in black & white to use as a colouring page.  Download it free on Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity website, at https://www.roalddahl.com/charity/get-involved/things-to-do-with-your-kids/quentin-blake-colouring-in-sheets
