'A Quentin Blake Summer' exhibition at Chris Beetles Gallery, July 2015

Tuesday 7th July 2015

Exhibition of new work and old favourites with a summer glow
Quentin Blake returns to the Chris Beetles Gallery (extended until 8 August) with another successful show, this time featuring a feast of new work and old favourites which share a summertime and outdoors theme.  Works created for Woodmansterne greetings cards, books (such as Joan Aiken's 'A Handful of Gold') and a generous helping of full-colour captions from the much-loved BBC TV 'Jackanory' series from the 1970s, are joined by new works in ink and watercolour - from enigmatic drawings of the leafy Green Man to a series of quirky kite-flyers.

A lavish, full-colour catalogue of the works in the show - titled: 'A Quentin Blake summer - with Wind, Dogs, Kites and Extra Ducks - is available to buy from the Gallery, price £10 (plus P&P).

For full details of opening times or to enquire about making a purchase, contact Chris Beetles Gallery on 020 7839 7551  or visit www.chrisbeetles.com. The Gallery is open Monday - Saturday 10am - 5.30pm at 8 & 10 Ryder Street, St James's, London SW1Y 6QB.
