Royal Televsion Society awards 'Best Children's Programme' to Box of Treasures animations

The winners for the RTS Programme Awards 2025, in partnership with Cast & Crew, have been announced at a ceremony which took place on Tuesday 25 March at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House Hotel, and was hosted by comedian Tom Allen.

The awards demonstrated the high calibre of talent across the UK television industry, with attendees including James Corden, Ruth Jones, Danny Dyer, Claudia Winkleman, Steven Knight, Jessica Gunning, Ambika Mod, Jed Mercurio, Anna Maxwell-Martin, Aimee Lou Wood, Josh Tedeku and Charlie Brooker.

The RTS opened the ceremony by recognising Journalists in Gaza with a Special Award from the RTS Television Journalism Awards, for their courage and commitment as they face extraordinary danger reporting from Gaza.

Across the 29 competitive categories, the BBC led with 16 wins, including Best Children's Programme for  Eagle Eye's 'Quentin Blake'a Box of Treasures',  an animated series bringing six of Quentin's much-loved stories to the small screen, each with a beautifully-crafted soundtrack performed by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra and featuring the voice talents of Adrian Lester, Simon Pegg, Nina Sosanya and Alison Steadman.  Quentin commented: “It’s wonderful to see the characters that I’ve known for such a long time suddenly moving across the screen in front of me. The BBC and Eagle Eye have brought them to life beautifully and I’m so grateful."

Other nominees in the category were 'Dodo' and 'BMX All Stars'.
