Over a long working life, Quentin Blake has produced thousands of drawings for publication. In parallel with this activity, there has been a continuous flow of personal drawings exploring themes that interest him; and during lockdown when demands on his time became less urgent, he was able to give them much more of his attention, seated in his wicker armchair in the studio, or not infrequently, in bed.
