Roald Dahl's text for 'My Year' was originally written to go inside 'The Roald Dahl Diary' (1991). Shortly after his death, the text was extracted and re-illustrated in gentle watercolours by Quentin Blake, turning the work into a commentary on wildlife, childhood reminiscences and the changing year (Jonathan Cape, 1993).
